Tenant Rights Violations

Violation of Civil Code 789.3 - Cut off power, changed locks, or forced to leave
If your landlord has cut off your power, changed your locks, or engaged in any form of “self-help” to force you to leave the property without a court order, you may have a case. If you have proof of this violation, contact us immediately.
Violation of Civil Code 1945.1 - Retaliatory eviction
If you have paid all of your rent and made a complaint about the property, only to receive a Notice of Eviction within 180 days, you may be a victim of retaliatory eviction. This practice is illegal, and if you have proof of this violation, we are interested in taking your case.
Violation of Civil Code 1942.4
Did the City and County order your landlord to make repairs after you complained to the City and County and the landlord STILL ignored it? A landlord only has thirty five days in receipt of the correspondence from the City or County to make all of the repairs or show good cause on why this was not done.
